Hi there, and welcome to our website.
We are a Columbian-Dutch couple, currently trying to find our way in the Netherlands, after having lived in the UK and Spain for some years.
With this blog we try to keep all our family and friends up to date :-)
ENJOY!
xx Andres & Eef
This is us :-)
Hagelslag & Aguardiente
Watch our intro movie below to find out the meaning of Hagelslag & Aguardiente :-)
Only one thing has changed! We have moved to the Netherlands in May 2008 :)
Last week we went to the Festival Mundial, a multicultural event in Tilburg. We enjoyed some great weather, wonderful performances and delicious food :-)
We went there with our friends Anouk & Dexon, (in)famous from our Barcelona videos and pics.
On sunday night the event closed with a superperformance from Oscar D'León (salsa). He's 66 years old, but meeeen can he sing and dance :-)
It was a great day, stay tuned for our video! For now, you can enjoy the video below (with thanks to rebaunchill)
As promised: A short videoclip with the adventures of Buñuelo, the newest member of our family and probably the only bilingual cat in the neibourhood :-)
Yes, it has been quite a while since our last update, but have have been so busy with our house.. Painting, painting and more painting, aaaaaaahhhh.. The 3rd floor has (almost) been done now... So we have 2 more floors to go :-(
On the bright side, Andres parents and brother will visit us at the end of July, so we will have a beautiful home to welcome them in :-)
Buñuelo is doing great, the word "kattekwaad" (mischief) had been invented by him. Anyways, he is happy, eats everything (including moving things, such as insect and spiders), and ways about 2 kilos now!
We will try to write some more stuff soon and show you all the footage we have made from our baby Buñi until now :-)
No no no, we did not suddenly give birth to a baby, we have adopted a kitten! Next friday, the 3rd of April we will pick up Buñuelo and welcome him into our home!
PS: For all of you who are curious to know what Buñuelo means, click here or have a look at the video below :-)
We just got back from our trip to Paris, we have been away for only 3 days, but boy have we seen a lot!
On the first day we left at 8:30 by bus from Den Bosch. We arrive in Paris around 5 p.m. because we had some delay.
We ate and went on a boat tour on the river Seine, beautiful to see Paris by night, the don't call it the city of light for nothing!
We arrived at the hotel at 11 p.m. and went straight to sleep, we were sooooo tired...
On saturday we left early to visit the Palace of Versailles, and then to have a "walk" through the center, damn our feet really hurt at the end of the day!
We walked about 7 hours, from the Opera to the Notre Dame, then from the Eiffel Tower to Arc de Triomphe and from there we walked all the way down Champs d'Elisees to the Louvre Museum.. At the end of the day we didn't even go out to eat, Andres already fell asleep on the way back to the hotel!
On the last days we visited le Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur, and then we took the bus back to Holland.
It was a great trip, we recommend it to everybody!
Have a look at some of the pics we took, or click play to watch the movie we made below:
We were planning to finish painting the rest of our house last weekend, but on sunday we didn't feel very active so we went to CubaTen's Zzzondagmiddag-matinee.. An afternoon full of dance, cuban salsa and horrible mojito's...
Usually mojito's are one of my favorite drinks, but this one tasted far from what a mojito is supposed to taste.. :-( But apart from that, it was a very nice lazy sunday afternoon! Alltough we are happy to have moved to Holland, we have to admit that sometimes we feel "homesick" and miss Barcelona a lot, sometimes we even miss the UK, and we haven't been there for 3 years..
Well.... Maybe we'll go back some day... Just to visit though, the only country we will be moving to is Colombia, in a far future!
It's starting to get cold overhere in Holland! Yesterday we already had the first snow of this winter, and according to the weather forecasts we can expect some more in the coming days! .
For the rest everything is going great. Our mortgage has been approved on friday and we will get the keys to our new house on 12-12-2008! We have already picked out furniture, which will be delivered the week after. So all will be ready soon, stay stuned for our next "Pimp our crib" episode ;-)
